1. Scope of this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Crowned Realms: Medieval Chess (the “App”) handles user data and how the third-party advertising and privacy-consent services integrated into the App may process data.
2. Data handled by the App itself
The App does not require registration or sign-in and does not ask users to provide a name, phone number, email address, precise location, contacts, photos, files, or payment information.
- Chess rules, piece artwork, sound effects, and the Stockfish AI run primarily on the user’s device.
- Preferences such as the music setting are stored locally in the App’s storage on the device.
- The developer currently does not operate a server that receives, stores, or analyzes users’ chess records, game progress, or account data.
3. Data Google advertising services may process
The App uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK to display rewarded ads that users choose to watch and uses Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to manage privacy choices in applicable regions.
According to Google’s public disclosure for the Mobile Ads SDK, the SDK may automatically collect and share the following categories of data:
- IP address, which may be used to estimate a general location.
- User interactions with the App or an ad, such as app launches, taps, and video views.
- Diagnostic information, such as launch time, crashes or unresponsiveness, performance, and battery usage information.
- Device- or account-related identifiers, such as the Android advertising ID, App Set ID, and other device identifiers where applicable.
This data may be used for ad delivery and measurement, analytics, service operation, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, and security. The actual processing depends on the user’s region, consent choices, Google account or device settings, and applicable law.
4. Privacy consent and advertising choices
Where consent is legally required, the App uses Google UMP to present the applicable privacy message. Users can make a choice through that message and may reopen the settings when the App displays the “Privacy options” button.
Ads may be personalized, non-personalized, limited, or technically served only. The exact mode is determined by the user’s consent status and Google’s advertising-service rules.
5. Permission purposes
The App uses the following Android permissions:
INTERNET: to retrieve privacy-consent status and load and display rewarded ads.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: to check network status when handling ad loading and error messages.
The App does not request access to the camera, microphone, contacts, SMS messages, call history, precise location, or device files.
6. Data sharing and sale
The developer does not sell users’ personal data and does not use a developer-operated server to provide chess-game data to data brokers. To provide advertising, measurement, analytics, and fraud-prevention functions, Google and applicable advertising-technology partners may process or share data under their policies and the user’s privacy choices.
7. Data retention and deletion
The developer does not store user accounts or cloud chess-game records, so there is no developer-side account deletion process. Users can remove locally stored preferences by clearing the App’s data in Android settings or uninstalling the App.
Retention, management, and deletion of data processed by Google or advertising partners are governed by each provider’s policies and controls. Users may also manage certain advertising and identifier settings through Android advertising settings, Google Account privacy settings, or My Ad Center.
8. Data security
The App is designed to minimize data processing and avoid unnecessary user accounts or cloud databases. Google states that data transmitted by the Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit using TLS. However, no method of network transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be absolutely secure.
9. Children’s privacy
The App does not ask children or other users to directly submit a name, contact information, or account data. Advertising and data processing for minors are subject to applicable local law, device or account age settings, the Play Console target-audience configuration, and Google advertising policies. A parent or guardian who believes a child supplied personal data through the App may contact the developer using the information below.

To help advertising platforms verify the App’s authorized digital-advertising seller, this Privacy Policy website publishes an app-ads.txt file at its root. The file contains only Google AdMob publisher authorization information. It does not contain a user’s name, contact details, device content, or other personal data.

12. Policy updates
This policy may be updated when the App’s features, third-party SDKs, laws, or data-handling practices change. The updated version will be published at the same URL and the date at the top of the page will be revised.
